The „hip swing“ is probably the most outstanding architectural feature of OMNITURM. Just as the publically accessible floors in the podium of the building, the eight residential floors are shifted away from the core in numerous directions. This does not only serve the purpose of visually highlighting the varying use types in the building, but at the same time creates set-backs which serve as terraces for the rental apartment units. From an engineering point of view, the extraordinary shape creates some challenges, one of them being the orientation of the columns, which stand at an angle in many of the residential floors and are tied to the building core via high strength steel rods, in order to guarantee maximum stability. Located at the junction between the building’s low-rise and high-rise, the 147 high-end apartments spread across 8 floors and range from unit sizes of 25 sqm to over 170 sqm. A separate residential lobby grants access to the exclusive inner-city apartments. In addition to a fully fitted bathroom, each unit will be equipped with an integrated kitchenette.
